If steam is in offline mode, OM will not save locally. I lost internet the other day and I found this out.Then when my internet came back later that day, I started up the game, loaded and went wtf!! And I forgot that steam was in offline mode. I switched to online mode, restarted game, played and saved! So, In essence you have to be online to play, even though the game saves locally.
