I've noticed if you were to Grind down a Container with something inside (while exploring a abandon base), it Deletes the item. Now if these were easily crafted resorces that can be dismissed as an oh well shame on me. but the circut boards and tablets you need to unlock your research... makes it difficult to advance and or enjoy the game when the player unknowingly deletes valuable salvage/data.
