When you have tablets in your inventory and your inventory is full, I still cannot pickup a new tablet. They stack, so it should fit on the existing stack and I should not have to drop anything to pickup the tablet to get it into the stack and then pickup the item I dropped. It is just a poor mechanic to pickup a tablet.
