I just had a n issue whuich I find odd andand not consistent. When a dust storm hits without notice, if I can get inside the ATV does not get affected, however if I'm out searching for probes or meteorites etc and a storm hit without notice, I do not want to get off the ATV as the wind may blow me away from the vehicle, so I sit it out. In doing this I then get an issue with circuit board in the ATV and I have no means of repairing it, unless before I leave home base I make sure that I take every little item with me to make sue I can build a workshop, a workbench and some power to enable me to repair the circuit board. The survivor pod does not have this option. I am now stuck about 3km from home base or find another base near enough that may or may not have a small circuit board. Anyway, this indicates to me I should be more prepared.
