Electricity or water/gas cables are permanently installed like in a petrol pump or a charging station. As you know it.
These can be set up in the hangar or placed on Mars for refueling. In the hangar building you can place it on the left side (where the gate opener lever is located, it can be placed along the wall). The hangar building also receives the hose connection for methane from the outside. If you set up these stations in the hangar in the same way as a CO² scrubber can be placed. This means you DO NOT need an additional pump station in the liquid circuit. However, if you want to operate this directly on Mars, a pump station MUST be connected to the liquid dispenser. Without a pump station between the well/liquids tank and the fuel pump, the pressure in the liquid circuit is too low. You can integrate it, but you cannot refuel with the petrol pump itself without an upstream pump station.
Why I thought about it is easy to explain. Currently, if you have hoses or power cables ready to fill up with energy or liquids, the length can shorten or at some point become too short for the same reason. Which means you have to collect the laid cable and lay it out again.
Of course, you can also integrate these into 2 types for liquids either for one or another larger one where you can connect all liquids and thus have a separate nozzle for each liquid. If you have built a liquid system far away, you can use it there better. In the same way, you can of course also distribute them in the most advanced chemistry or in a mixed way, so for the large one you first have to have researched a pump station and you also have to have researched the Sabatier reactor before you can/may build these 3 in a gas station and then you can also build.
This means that if you currently lay out a power cable from a battery pack in order to be able to charge your vehicles, the length may change. The same currently applies to an oxygen cable. If you lay it out from a tank to occasionally supply your rover with fresh oxygen, the length can also be shortened if you insert the hose from a different position than before.
Since the built-in power cable/the built-in water/gas hose is flexible in length, there is less collision with the Mars surface and the hangar floor and they are less likely to get stuck. When you disconnect it and hang it up on the gas pump/charging station, the hose and the power cable are pulled back in and of course have the same length again the next time you use it so that it is fixed.
Thank you. I hope that the idea is accepted if it wasn't already planned to bring a charging station/gas pump into play.
