Mission: Place GPS satellite system in Mars orbit!
I hope one of the first upcoming missions is to place a satellite system in Mars orbit during the survival phase.
To have special things:
Overview of the surface of Mars WITHOUT THE BLACK RIM we currently have. At the moment it is the case that you can ONLY see a certain radius. By installing the satellite system you have a complete overview WITHOUT restrictions.
The second stage is that you can view ALL underground resources to make them easier to find. Of course, certain things will first have to be found and fought for. Something like rocket fuel, appropriate electronics research, etc.
Ultimately, however, everything leads to the fact that in the first section, at least once the first satellites have been placed in Mars' orbit, you can see a complete overview of the surface of Mars. This means that building structures on the surface of Mars can also be updated in the radar system of the tablet on the wrist. Old building structures have been demolished and processed into resources. So this system can update the wrist radar system where buildings are, vehicles etc.
Later upgrades can scan the subsurface of Mars and thus show where the resources are stored. And of course also remove the underground resource depots that you have just mined during the game. You could use that and leave it as it is at the moment so that the mined resource areas remain as they are now, but later on, thanks to the satellite radar system, the player can get an overview. This means that it is also important for the player to take care of such a satellite system right from the start, as it greatly simplifies resource planning to find water, iron, silicon, etc
