When relaunching the game after initial boot, framerate is more like 3 to 15FPS. When I reboot my PC and launch the game, framerate is back to normal (about 45-60). Also, notice random crashes when game is installed on network attached storage.
Windows 10 VM (KVM) with host passthrough (unRAID),Xenon E2678 v3 - 12 logical cores, 32GB ECC assigned, RTX A2000 8GB.
I do not have random crashes/framerates turning into slideshows with other games from steam. Settings are on low with textures at full res (gives the best framerate). Changed the game install folder to local C drive. Game on clean boot (restarting Windows) loads good and framerate is fairly stable for a few hours, drops severely when going outside the local area in-game (guessing the game is loading extra terrain from slow storage (my Samsung EVO 950 nvme PCIe 3).
Would giving users the ability to assign more ram to the game to store more terrain data help with the "new zone" framerate drops? I have 64GB installed and can assign up to 56GB to my VM if I wish.Love the game so far!
