Some QOL thoughts that you are likely already working on:
- need a free build/play ability for use in testing. this would be most helpful in planning the layout of a base. At present game state, a new tech is released and fitting it in to an existting base structure is difficult at best. This also allows testing out equipment usage and skill building before returning to the game environment.
- an alternative and/or nice to have would be an architectural table where a base build can be layed out, and perhaps linked to that items can be placed according to the plan.
- crops that cannot fully be fully grown in a basic (or any specific ) table should not be allowed to treat that basic table as an incubator. unless of course that was intended as a feature...but then again, some text with the seed module would be nice to indicate the best growth table/room.
- shelves in the game, for the truck, heavy rover, habs, etc are useless. you cant place anything on them. at a minimum, it would be nice if the craftable containers would fit in the shelves so the shelf space would be of use. being able to return gas/water bottles to the racks in the heavy rover would be nice. actually, a craftable botttle rack for the habs would be really nice. Perhaps as an extension of the CO2 scrubber, or just some inventory slots on the side of the scrubber, bottles visible when stored (like the battery charger).
- grid snap is nice for alignment purposes. would be really nice if instead of a global setting, free rotate could be enabled/disabled from a keystroke.
- need more than 3 placeable waypoints, they should be more visible on the map, and would be reeally nice to have icons as a possibility. The waypoints should retain name/color/icon settings until deleted, with track enabled/disabled from map. Could still set a maximum number of tracked wps at say 4 or 5, although the clutter on the hud would likely be enough to self-regulate tracking status.
- it would be a nice feature to be able to flatten the terrain, or dig caves. from a radiation/safety standpoint, it is likely that setting up a hab in a crater would be very adventageous. Enable cave-ins for that extra "spice", either from seismic activity or from a nearby meteor strike, enabling the need for digging out and repairing hab structures.
- enable a notepad on the wrist computer. this might serve as a quick alternative to the lack of waypoints, as notes could be entered regarding what/where/why for a specific set of grid coordinates (all manually entered, or course).
- lastly, it would be really helpful if the map could be rotated so we can see locations and waypoints over the map's current "horizon". Oh, and have waypoint names (when set) visible on the map.
