there is a bug that I had when picking up a calcium ore. once I picked it up the camera didn't switch to 3rd person, and I could no longer Interact with objects, drop the rock, open the esc Menu. I could switch to a tool on my belt, and that would drop the rock but I still couldn't interact with anything.
