Not sure if this is intended. In Melas Chasma ... in the Alpha base you can tear everything down to where it's completly clear. If you save and reload, the Kilopower in there respawns. I consider this an exploit, and here's why. I just did the teardown of Alpha Base ( all of it ) and the Kilopower, quick saved, and reloaded. Repeated this process about 10 times. I have over 40+ uranium rods now after building my base Kilopowers ( I build 6 ). With this type of method why search for fallen meteors, uranium deposits, or even use a centrifuge ( besides the 2 needed to create to unlock the Miner tech thread )? Hope you see my point.
