You demolish an entire old, abandoned building complex. What remains on the radar/map? Exactly the structure's appearance. This means that where the abandoned complex once stood, the map/radar representation simply doesn't change dynamically.
A side mission would be a good idea later on, allowing the user to launch a satellite system into Mars orbit, which could also be rewarded. In conjunction with radar stations on the surface, this system would be able to remove the fog of war. This means that the player would be able to see the Martian surface at a distance, just as they currently do within a certain radius around the player. This would be used in conjunction with the satellite launched into orbit and the radar antenna on the surface, not only to better predict the weather, but also to dynamically reflect changes to the Martian surface made by the player. If the player has just completely dismantled an existing abandoned location, the structure icon will also disappear. Currently, while you can completely dismantle these structures, the icons for buildings from the past remain.
Variety in side missions would be a welcome change. After the 10th meteorite impact, the 20th probe, and the 5th resource drop, it's really no longer fun. Side missions that appear when bad weather arrives are so rare that they still interested me in the early access phase, but since version 1.0, they haven't bothered me at all. I expect completely different missions by now.
So, if you have to survive on Mars, then... More side missions? You could try that old Mars rover or those mountains. You can attach an ATV to the Mars Truck, so why can't you recover an old rover? This could be a side mission once you've built a hangar. It has a loading crane and is a gun emplacement. Why isn't it more common? I'm even familiar with it as a rover mechanics simulator. It was through your games that I decided to buy this one during Early Access. However, I hoped in vain that you'd be able to recover these old Mars rovers in the game. There are many scattered across Mars, including the vehicle, but unfortunately, they aren't really utilized, and side missions that could be related to them aren't integrated. Recovering this or that old Mars rover, etc. Hopefully, something like this will be added someday; it would be more fun than just tinkering around. Well, I'm not that far along in version 1.0 yet, but I doubt I'll be able to go any further than a rocket at the moment.
See you soon on Mars!
