I would suggest implementing a tube that can convey items like ores. Similar to how you do with water and oxygen. Then implement an output on the crushers and an input for the workshops. It should be possible to do as the workshop allready can use inventories based on it having a trashbin inventory. But for playing i would limit it to workshops and crushers only. Add code into workshop to allow item transfer from 1 workshop inventory to another.
