Auto-saving the game gets ssslllooowww as your save is played longer and longr. Maybe 50 hours into the save. Several well outposts, some survival capsules, a number of nearby old bases mostly or fully deconstructed. Saving at the beginning took <1s, now it's closer to 10s, game freezes while saving.
